A Legacy of Service at Sir Harry’s Bar

Sir Harry’s bartender Sonny Koltovski boasts an impressive service history at the Waldorf. He has worked at Sir Harry’s for 35 years, during which he created a signature cocktail known as the Waldorf Sunset, and he’s proud of his legacy.

Sonny’s approach to bartending is comfortable, conversational- not unlike other professionals working in bars frequented by a sophisticated set. But no feature of the Waldorf is entirely similar to another hotel or bar. Sir Harry’s and this veteran bartender are no different.

First described in its opening week as the Waldorf’s “newest Oasis for cocktails and conversation,” Sir Harry’s is frequented by guests and Manhattanites alike. You may have heard of the Waldorf bar scene because of our famed “Old Bar Book,” which is currently being reinvigorated by Beverage Manager Frank Caiafa, or because we invented the Rob Roy and several other classic cocktails.

We would like to invite you to celebrate this grand history of Sir Harry’s on your next visit to Manhattan and experience our recently updated cocktail menu. You’ll find several drinks that were made right here in the Waldorf Astoria.

If Sonny’s working, ask him for a suggestion or off-the-menu concoction. You might get more than you expected- and you might find your new favorite bartender.

Sir Harry’s is located between the Park Avenue lobby and the main lobby of the Waldorf Astoria. The bar opens at 5 pm from Tuesday – Saturday.
